Automatic Calculation of the Coefficient of Pressure Reduction Below Ditch Bottom
For automatic calculation, the coefficient of pressure reduction below ditch bottom k [-] is determined as follows:
- circular pile curtain (a)
k = 0.9 (1.5d + 0.5)/a | (d ≤ 1 m) |
k = 0.9 (d + 1)/a | (d > 1 m) |
- rectangular pile curtain or steel I-section (b)
k = (1.5b + 0.5)/a | (b ≤ 1 m) |
k = (b + 1)/a | (b > 1 m) |
Note: If coefficient k > 1, then k = 1.
